HW420: Creating Wellness: Psychological and Spiritual Aspects of Healing

My scores have all slightly improved. I have started a normal running routine and believe the consistency has helped me hold a better grasp on physical well-being. My psychological and spiritual well-being has improved for the simple fact that I have a grasp of what I need to work on. Before, I really gave no thought to either aspects of my life. I have since begun to implement exercises to foster growth in both areas.

My goal for mixing up my exercise routine has been going quite well. I have also been practicing meditation exercises and have actually been sleeping better through the night. I have been going for walks in the park with my kids and even started playing basketball with them. This is a big step because I have played football my whole life and barely ever touched a basketball, but I am going for variety. I still need some work, but I have been meditating more frequently.

This class has been an eye opener for me. I have always tried to stay in shape, but I never knew what true health and wellness was. I have discovered many ways to train my mind as well as my body. Spiritual, mental, and physical health all need to be addressed if we want to flourish and that is what I have learned from this course. I intend on utilizing the techniques we have learned and implementing them into my daily routine for the rest of my life. I already feel much better that I have a plan and now I am looking forward to continuing my journey.
